The Hervey Bay Macintosh Users Group (HBMUG) celebrates two years of providing support to new and experienced Mac users on May 6, 2010, at the Hervey Bay RSL club in Pilba, Australia. The topic for the meeting is software fixes, repairs and maintenance. They’ll also cover partitioning of hard drives and simple hardware repairs. Congrats to Ken and club.

Nicole Martinez, a circuit bender from the South Florida Final Cut Pro Users Group, was featured at Subtropicalia – an experimental music festival sponsored, in part, by the arts councils in Florida. Better yet, a video created by Martinez and ScFlaFCPUG co-leader Marlene Lopez was selected as part of the Ultra Music Festival’s video lounge this past winter. Way to go!
Twice each year the Portland Macintosh Users Group (PMUG) provides a weekend of learning, fun and friendship in the beauty and tranquility of Silver Falls State Park (Oregon). Run as a not-for-profit event, PMUG uses any funds earned to make the next MacCamp even better. Congratulations to President Charles DeVore and members on reaching this amazing milestone.

If you have been to one of the Final Cut Pro User Group Network’s SuperMeets, you already know why you should attend: tech tips, insider previews, networking with other video professionals and incredible raffles.
The Las Vegas SuperMeet on April 13 will be the first to have Apple, Adobe & Avid together on one stage and the first to have 3D on stage (3D glasses handed out to all). As co-founder Dan Berube says, this SuperMeet promises to be the single largest gathering of editors, gurus and digital filmmakers during the 2010 NAB Show.
