Worldwide Photowalk: Terry’s Team Will Walk in October

On the first of October Terry White, President of MacGroup Detroit and photographer extraordinaire, will lead one of the world wide teams who will spend two hours walking, shooting photos and generally having fun with other photographers. Last year over 33,000 people participated, and, as you might expect, Terry’s team filled up almost the minute registration opened. Has your group participated in a Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk? MCE Reminder: Save the Date

 The officers and members of The North Coast Mac Users Group (NCMUG) invite you to join them as they once again host (and  enjoy) their popular Macintosh Computer Expo (MCE), second only to Macworld as the largest expo of its type in the San Francisco Bay area.  NCMUG has been reliably presenting the best for the last 18 years, and each year gets bigger and better. Philadelphia PowerBook Users Group: Summer Festival

On August 20 the members of the Philadelphia PowerBook Users Group (PPUG) will hold their Summer Spectacular Festival meeting. PPUG founders Jason O’Grady (, Rob Parker and Bob Snow will be joined by Youngmoo Kim for a discussion of the latest developments in mobile computing, and, of course, Lion. Guests are welcome and members can bring items to sell or swap.

DVMUG and RMUG: August 16 Film Fest

On August 16, the Diablo Valley Macintosh User Group (DVMUG) and the Rossmoor MAC Users Group (RMUG) will jointly host their most recent Film Fest in the deluxe settings of the Peacock Theater, Walnut Creek, California.  Come for the films, stay for the wine-and-cheese awards ceremony in the adjacent Fireside Room.  Peter Weiler’s planning means that all will go smoothly, from expert judging to Food SIG Leader Anne Griffin’s specially selected cheeses. If you have been to one of their Film Fests before, you already know why you want to attend this one. If not, come for a great evening of film, fun and friendship in an elegant setting.
