AUGM in OITA: Apple Japan and User Group Fun

On February 23, the Apple User Group Meeting (AUGM) in Oita will return to Oita Prefecture. London MUG: Bagel Tech Foto Photowalk

Like many of us, the members and officers of the London Mac User Group are looking forward to a new year and new possibilities. What could be better than a bit of a walk with good friends? Add in a bit of tech and it gets even better. On January 14, the group teams up with Bagel Tech for a Photowalk. Why? The group says that a photowalk will help folk get out doors more, offer a new hobby or improve an old one, provide a way to meet new people and, best of all, have fun. On Saturday, November 10, officers and members of the Hawaii Macintosh & Apple Users’ Society, Inc. (HMAUS) will host the HMAUS Apple Harvest, and this year’s Harvest will be amazing. CapMac: OS X Server Getting Started Workshop

On November 14, members and officers of the Capitol Macintosh User Group (CapMac) will host an OS X server workshop at the public access channelAustin studios in Austin, Texas. The studio depends on OS X for its day-to-day operations and will be offering a tour of a facilities as part of the meeting and workshop. Topics covered will include OS X Server capabilities and requirements, planning server needs, network settings, software installation and configuration.

DMVCPUG: Special Event at GVEXPO

On Wednesday, November 28, the DMV Creative Pro User Group (DMVCPUG) of Washington, Maryland and Virginia, will host its combined November and December meeting with a special event during the Government Video Expo (GVEXPO), one of the East Coast’s largest gatherings of video and broadcasting pros.

LA Web Professionals: Design Camp Returns

On November 15, the LA Web Professionals group brings their popular design camp to the Barnsdall Gallery Theatre in Hollywood. The evening event will include sessions on responsive design using HTML5 and CSS3, techniques for JQuery and CSS, additional sessions, a raffle and refreshments.
